I'm resisting stalking ; is this normal? He's still on my mind, but I'm not stalking him.
Is there a solution to this feeling, or should I give in to it and get better with time?

feeling like giving in would make the ache quieter, but every time i checked, i felt worse after. what helped me was letting the urge pass without acting on it, one day at a time.
when you get the urge to stalk him, what are you hoping you’ll find or feel in that moment? is it missing him, wanting answers, or hoping something has changed
maybe wanting answers or hoping something has changend ..
The longer I have gone with NC and having blocked myself from seeing his social media the easier I have found it. My ex still preoccupies my thoughts, but without any contact or seeing social media updates there is no new information for my brain to tear into and analyse and overanalyse. So any new anxiety has been prevented, and the existing anxiety will run its course as time goes on.
i used to fight the urge to check my ex’s socials every few hours, and honestly that pull felt so strong. i’m glad you’re choosing not to stalk, even when your brain keeps going back there
I have blocked my ex everywhere except for calls but they don’t know that. I don’t want to see anything as it would break me. I’m even afraid of socials in general as our lives were so intertwined that other people might post them.
I have restricted her on instagram, removed her from my Snapchat list, and archived our messages on messenger. It really helps if the constant trigger isn’t here. Cause trust me, I wanna look at her page all the time, but the feeling of wanting to gets smaller over time.
I think that feeling is normal - social media makes it hard to not do that, we think the answers are there, but they aren’t. it usually winds up being more painful in the end. my solution was getting rid of my social media temporarily. I no longer resist stalking his page because I don’t even have the temptation now.
come here whenever you feel like stalking. its a good distraction
