Should i take this job offer or leave my past behind?

so again, me.
Since I am in the middle of planning somewhat of a future I have had multiple job offers in my home country. But I just don't seem to have a good feeling about them.

I am going to travel for a couple of months starting in September, I hope I am going to be more stable until then. But then I have an offer in a country close to his and close to mutual friends. Ive had the job offer for some time and they want me to go there and work for a week in February to see if it would be a fit.

what do you think about it? still to close to my ex? since we did long distance and I was planning on moving to him?
or is it an offer I should see through?

I want to go and have a look to see if it feels good. But I am afraid that it will keep me stuck and not able to move forward.

'd probably give myself permission to visit before deciding. i found that actually being there told me way more than all the what ifs i made up in my head.

in a weird way I can relate to this, me and my ex both worked online and we travelled together and wanted to settle somewhere we loved.

we broke up but I'm still planning on going there even though I would've never went or even thought about that place if I never was in this relationship.

We just gotta think about ourselves, it seems like it could be a great step for you and you can always just try, nothing in life is permanent anyway!

i almost turned down a job because it was tied to the future i imagined with my ex. i'm glad i at least went to see it first, because the place ended up feeling completely different once it was mine instead of ours.

if your ex had never lived anywhere near there, would this job still excite you?

it would. But I never would've thought about that country properly, if it wasn't for him...

By February hopefully you will be feeling much more confident in things and It wont matter you are close to your ex.

I hope so too. And I'll be able to meet different people, right? I won't be so consumed by someone who is not intrested.
