It feels like none of my progress counts. How can I celebrate “no contact” days as progress when the truth is I’m just waiting for him to reach out first?
I’m not doing any of this willingly. I don’t want to be alone. I want him back, but not like this.
So yeah, I “relapsed” but really I took the first opportunity to reach out that I thought could be successful.
Sincerely
AllAlone

i used to count my no contact days too, but deep down i was just waiting for my phone to light up with his name. i don't think that makes you a failure. it just means your heart hasn't caught up yet.
same I keep going back to see if there’s any messages from him
i feel you
I feel exactly the same. It's like I'm forcing myself to do no contact . But I want him to reach out, hoping he's missing me the way I'm missing him.
i wasn't doing no contact for me yet, and that was okay. i stopped pretending i was "healed" and somehow that took a little pressure off.
when you reached out, were you hoping he'd actually changed, or were you just exhausted from missing him?
I was hoping that he changed, or realised he’s making a huge mistake…
I feel you, I'm doing the same but even than, it is still progress and still healing. Resesiting the urge is still progress and even giving in but recognizing how it made u feel and what u want to change moving forward Is progress as well!
and was it successful?
No, I don’t think it was
