Why does everything feel so dark after a breakup?

This time in my life has got to be the darkest so far. I lost my gf, no stable job, can’t even get a car or my license yet and lastly I just went to the hospital recently. I feel like I’m losing on all sides of the game but everybody is just telling me to be patient. I’m lonely because I have no friends to talk to and I’m rushing to get in a relationship with any girl who gives me attention just to ease and that only pushes people away. Every time I think one thing goes right, a million others go wrong. I keep hitting rock bottom back to back and I’m tired of it. When will I ever get a win? I’m angry but its genuinely nothing I can do. I don’t even know why I want a relationship when im literally insecure and doubt myself every chance I get. What do I even do at this point?

when you say you're tired of hitting rock bottom, are you feeling hopeless or are you thinking about hurting yourself?

thing that helped me was quitting the search for someone to rescue me for a while. i hated hearing "be patient" too, so i just picked one thing i could control each day, even if it was sending one job application or making one phone call.

When things aren't going well, its easy to get in that mindset. I would recommend listening to some positive uplifting podcasts and also finding ways to connect with people that has nothing to do with relationships. volunteering is a really great way and it looks good on the resume as well.

i've had one of those stretches where my breakup, money, and my health all crashed together, and i kept thinking life was picking on me. i chased attention too because i just wanted the loneliness to stop, but it only made me feel emptier
