everyone says he'll come back. i helped him with every thing. i made him into who he is today. and I want him to come back. i just really want him to figure everything out. i want him to get better so we can be healthy. he pushed me to my breaking point, to the point where I became toxic as well. i just truly want him to work through what's going on. but I worry he won't be able to. how can he work towards being better if he couldn't acknowledge he was avoidant.

i used to sit on my floor every single night praying my ex would fix himself and come back to me. i poured everything into building him up, and watching him walk away with all the growth i helped him build felt like a slap in the face. it drove me crazy trying to force an avoidant person to see what they were doing to us
the hardest truth i had to swallow was that you cannot heal someone who is comfortable staying blind to their own patterns.
you think you want HIM back, or do you just want the healthy version of him that you kept hoping he would turn into
Sometimes taking some time for the two of them will be very good for each of them to think things through. But sometimes, one of the two won't want to get back together, even if it was a good relationship at some point. I think if he really wants to invest in this relationship, he'll come back a better and more decisive person. But we also have to consider the possibility that he might just want to move on with his life without you. And that's okay, because you're also capable of doing that
