so me and him broke up around 4 weeks ago we kept in contact and he would mention getting back tg and would get mad at me for being out late saying it’s not safe, thinking I’m posting for boys, and would just keep that weirdly protective personality but then one day he js says he’s talking to someone new and I say I am too and he says he’s happy for me, but then I post about a party Friday night and he gets mad and blocks me on social media but keeps me on iMessage I’m so confused

that exact hot-and-cold behavior used to keep me up at night spinning in circles. my ex would text me accusing me of moving on too fast, act all protective, and then pull the "i'm happy for you" card the second i matched his energy, and it was just a games to keep tabs on me without actually committing. he cares about keeping control over you, not about being a good partner.
as long as you leave that one window open, he's going to keep dropping in whenever he wants to shake up your peace and mess with your emotions.

all he said was “bro” “why” but I posted it after I found out abt him with another girl I didn’t think he would react to it honestly
to me it seems like he wants to move on but doesn't want you to. like he's keeping you on the hook. almost like he wants to see what other options he has, and wants you there just in case he changes his mind
