Is it dramatic to defend my ex?

So i have this classmate who is quite literally obsessed with me.. I've made it very obvious that im a lesbian and he still won't stop. Besides the point i was walking to English today preparing to see my ex-girlfriend per usual which I did however the boy didn't know she was my ex he knew I had an ex just didnt know it was her but even so when she walked past me and i got into my classroom he stuck up his middle finger up at her and me being quite protective im like "what the actual fuck was that for!?" And he went "I dont like gingers" so im then having a right go at him and wanted to punch him for saying that however i didnt bc i didnt want to be kicked out of the college for that, and then suddenly he goes "im going to go h*t and slap her" so at this point im prepared to rush out of the classroom to then protect her and to get her out of the situation and then he went "ah nevermind she's gone." like what the actual fuck!? Threatening violence on my ex-gf all because she is a red head!? Even if this wasn't towards my ex and at someone else I would've done the exact same but to someone I once loved, I cant even express how much I wanted to hurt him because of all of this.

NOT BEING DRAMATIC AT ALL

I'm so sorry you went through that. Your anger is valid. What he did wasn't a joke or a preference. It was targeted harassment and a threat. You don't owe anyone silence or niceness in the face of violence. If you can, document what happened and report it to your college. Loop in a trusted adult or campus safety so you're not handling this alone. For future encounters, keep distance, don't engage one on one, and have a friend or staff member nearby. You can be protective of your ex and yourself without risking your place at school. Your safety comes first. You did the strong thing by not reacting physically. Now do the smart thing by getting support and making a record. You and your ex are worthy of kindness and respect at all times. I am also mad that more people didn't reply to this post.
