that kind of love hurts the most. sometimes i have to remind myself it’s okay to daydream for a bit, but then i gently come back to what’s real. it’s the only way i stop reopening the wound.

i used to imagine the same thing about someone who was never really mine either. it’s wild how your mind builds a whole world out of what could’ve been, even when reality says otherwise
