when they come back, do they actually show up differently or is it the same cycle just starting over again?
definite first and then they start the same cycle.
for me, i had to stop treating their return like something special and start seeing it as a pattern.

i know this pattern way too well… i had someone who’d leave, come back like nothing happened, and every time i let them in it messed me up again. it’s exhausting always being the one waiting by the door
