It isn’t getting easier for me. The worst though, is the stomach ache I’ve started getting. I went to the doctor- bloods are fine.
It gets worse as the day goes on, and if there’s a moment I’m distracted and the situation comes up in my mind it’s like an actual gut punch.

when i was in that stage, i stopped fighting the waves and just focused on getting through the next hour instead of wondering when i'd feel normal again. it was slow, but my body did calm down
how long has it been since the breakup, and has the stomach pain been there from the start or did it show up later?
So I do generally have problems with my stomach- but this particular pain started about two weeks ago. I feel like it could be an ulcer because I have a history with them (no I’m not a hypochondriac I promise). It’s difficult because my body is extremely reactive to stress and it’s not realistic to be going to the doctor for everything. It’s just hard getting hit with very physical and painful symptoms when I’m already in the trenches emotionally. :(
i kept thinking something was seriously wrong with me because my stomach hurt every single day. heartbreak really hit my body before my mind caught up.
sounds like anxiety? have you considered therapy?
I have a lot of anxiety. I don’t really have the time to budget for therapy right now (and I also find the days I’ve gone to a therapist in the past exhaust me for at least 3 days after). I am on anti-anxiety meds prescribed by my psychiatrist but it’s still a daily battle.
I feel you I literally feel it at night in my heart and it literally hurts. try to take care of yourself drink water. stay healthy. it’s overwhelming emotionally and your body is reacting. some days it’s better and then there are triggers. I hope it feels better for you soon but at least you know there is nothing wrong with you since you did go to the doctor.
Thank you. I definitely need to drink more water- lately that’s been difficult for whatever reason.
@AllAlone trust me it will help.
Is it your stomach or nausea in your throat? I’ve had a therapist tell me one time that I sadness is felt in the throat sometimes because it’s the very last place it’ll come up in your body before escaping, so your emotions and everything get caught there so as not to cry or voice it
Wow that’s interesting; I’ve never thought about it but it might really be the case. The stomach is a sharp, gut punch feeling but my chest feels really tight and my throat does have a tense feeling (I don’t even know how to describe it).
