i believe in the same thing, after all we see what will happen
that line about “maybe i’ll see the stars then” really got me. i had someone i loved deeply but we kept meeting each other while one of us was drowning. what helped me was accepting that love can be real and still not survive timing.
used to hold onto “maybe someday” too, like if i just waited long enough we’d finally meet each other at the right time. sometimes that hope is the hardest thing to let go of because it still feels beautiful.
i’m curious, do you actually believe you’d want him again someday, or is part of you just grieving the version of him you hoped he’d become?
