Today was supposed to be our two-year anniversary. We had a strongh loving relationship with plans for marriage and kids but everything unraveled after a bad car accident eight months ago led me into a severe gambling addiction and financial distress.
A month ago—right as I was preparing to propose—I confessed the addiction to my girlfriend late one night. Stunned she immediately left for her parents' house texted me to move out of our shared home and completely cut ties with both me and my family on social media. I respected her boundary kept my dignity and moved out without begging or causing drama.
Since the breakup a month and a half ago our only contact has been about logistics. I have thrown myself into recovery by handing over my finances attending GA meetings going to therapy exercising and building better habits. Though I miss her deeply and am devastated by her loss I have a strong support system and am committed to fixing my life and moving forward.

Ugh that is tough, but she is upholding strong boundaries and that is a really good thing for her, and you really! Sounds like your response is that you were able to evolve a lot of issues forward, which isn’t easy. Keep it up! We all live and learn
I'm so sorry that happened to you 😭 yeah I mean she couldve waited for you to heal but that was her decision to take since she probably got uncomfortable. also love the fact that you didn't cause any drama... hope you're getting better 💗 best of luck!
