I am tired of just thinking about him. he broke up with me about 2 months ago and i don’t miss him anymore. I just want him and the memory of him gone. what do I do?

start talking to someone new
two months in is such a frustrating phase because you don't even WANT them back, but your brain refuses to clear out the space. when my ex left, I was so sick of my own thoughts repeating his name like an annoying radio station i couldn't turn off. it feels exhausting, but you aren't doing anything wrong, your brain is just taking its time clearing out the old routines.
what worked for me was physically changing my environment whenever his memory popped up, like instantly getting out of bed or putting on an intense podcast to drown out the noise. you can't always force a thought to leave, but you can give your brain something louder to focus on until the wave passes.
Embrace it. As contradictory as that sounds, you need to desensitize yourself to it and release the emotional attachment to it. Identify triggers, reroute the thinking, and channel the energy elsewhere. Give it more time. It will get better eventually. Sending you lots of love, light, and healing 💖
there specific times of day where he keeps popping into your head, or is it just a constant background noise right now
Girl I get you. 2 months is still fresh so don't be hard on yourself. What helped me is deleting everything that reminds you of him and keeping your mind busy . Gym, journaling, hanging with friends. The thoughts don't go away in one day but they fade. You got this 💛
find new hobbies!!! running personally makes me forget abt everything but find something that fits you
