I had to share this because I found a Halloween costume online that literally had me howling, and honestly, it’s because it’s the exact trajectory of my last relationship. 💀
Raise your hand if your ex ruined your favorite holiday too!
Back in the day, going to Spirit Halloween was a whole ordeal with my ex. He would practically lose his mind, accusing me. we literally just walked through the front doors, calm down! And heaven forbid they didn't have his exact niche costume in stock; it was an instant toddler tantrum and a forced evacuation. Horrible.
So when I saw this costume online, it all clicked. It is literally who he became:
Act I (The Love Bombing): "I’ve never felt this way before! You're the love of my life! I'm texting you from work every 4 minutes because I just can't live without talking to you on my break!"
Act II (The Plot Twist): Suddenly, he's so swamped at work. Too busy to send anything more than a one-word reply. (Turns out, he was busy seeing someone else—surprise, surprise, what a shocking plot twist).
Act III (The Finale): He ends things with zero explanation, and acts like his phone is made of lava. poof gone. The disappearing man👻💬
🐶 My Actual Halloween Plan!
My nephew and I are winning Halloween because we are going as Slinky Dog from Toy Story!
It’s a two-person masterpiece:
He gets to be the brains of the operation as the head.
And I get to proudly anchor the rear as the bum. Honestly? Fitting, considering how much running around we do! 😂

Thank you you're for sharing your story so I know I'm not alone. my ex made used to make it difficult for me to work out. he used to interrupt my at home workouts or he would say that he would leave me if I joined a coed gym or he would get jealous if I did a workout video that had a male personal trainer. I found it very difficult to get back into my workout routine because I just given up on working out all together. I also found it hard to figure out what I enjoyed again because he tried to take over my entire life. thank you for sharing your story.

lmaooo the love bombing to one-word replies pipeline 😭 my ex had me thinking we were soulmates and then suddenly i was lucky to get a “hey” back. the disappearing act is almost funny once you're out of it
