thank you for sharing your feedback.
that communication has to happen BEFORE resentment takes over. i’m trying to speak up sooner, even when i’m scared the conversation might change everything.
thank you for sharing.
i can love someone deeply and still need things that relationship couldn’t give me. how do you tell the difference between growing together and slowly losing yourself?
I could tell during the beginning of our relationship that my ex was making an effort to grow together. he would listen to audiobooks with me And would put would put the tools that we were learning into practice when we would have miscommunications. towards the end of our relationship, he stopped listening to audiobooks and wouldn't bother putting an effort into our relationship. he stopped practicing his new skills and he would no longer say things like how can I support you? it's easy to put effort in when things are good and it's harder to put effort in when things are bad. you find out who people really are when things aren't going their way and over time.
the hard way that love can’t make me abandon myself. i used to bend so much to keep relationships alive, and now i pay attention when i start losing my own voice.
me 2. I really lost myself in my last relationship trying to make my ex happy. he didn't really care if I was happier or not. he only cared about his own happiness. I'm now learning that that is called fawning. I'm listening to an audiobook right now called fawning why the need to pleasemakes us lose ourselves.
don’t be afraid to set boundaries, the right person will not get mad at you or leave you for setting them. Don’t stop respecting yourself just because your scared of them leaving you.
boundaries are so important. thank you for sharing that in sight. my ex definitely did not respect my boundaries or care about them. it was all about his feelings, wants and needs. I once read the book boundaries which was really helpful. thank you for sharing your feedback.
don’t stop being your own person inside and outside of relationships. they should add to ur life, not become your whole life and one way to do this is to keep in touch with ur friends and don’t drop them, keep up w ur hobbies and try new things and don’t change urself for other people
thank you for your advice and feedback. I find it really hard not to make my ex the center of my life. I found it hard to keep in touch with my best friend because my ex wanted all of my time from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed. he wanted to constantly talk to me and text me throughout the day even when he was at work. he was really jealous and controlling. thank you for sharing that. it was hard for me to focus on my hobbies and my interest and I didn't know how to keep good boundaries with him. thank you for sharing your feedback.
by trying to become the best version of ne possible for my greater good. ♡
