I was barely an adult when I met her.
She was like sunlight pretending to be a person. Like everything beautiful in the world had somehow gathered together and become her.
She was beautiful in the way she handled both success and struggle. She felt like late afternoon tea a flower growing through concrete the calm of monsoon rain and the feeling of being loved gently for the first time.
She had deep sea-green eyes and a smile that made your heart feel lighter. But she wasn't just beautiful. She was warm. She made me believe in the kind of love I thought only existed in stories. Sometimes it felt like a fairy or an angel had somehow ended up living an ordinary human life.
And for a while it felt like the universe had trusted me with something magical.
Loving her consumed me because of the way she loved me. Even now everything beautiful somehow reminds me of her. Every painful moment makes me wish for her. Every memory seems to lead back to her.
I still don't know what I would choose. Would I rather forget her and finally be free from this constant pain or spend the rest of my life carrying these precious memories of someone who made the entire world feel magical simply by existing?

you dont forget a beautiful person like that. As painful as it is, you become grateful that you got to experience a love like that. And in the meantime, all that pain you feel, you need to use it as a learning experience. What did you learn about yourself in the relationship, where did things go wrong and how did you contribute? None of these questions are to be answered for me, nit questions that you need to ponder over to assist your healing.
The flower never asks for sunlight, it just comes.
someone becomes tangled up with every beautiful thing around you. after my breakup, even ordinary places felt like little reminders of her, and damn, that made moving forward so hard
Why go no contact?
