My grandma passed away today and i called my ex girlfriends mom to tell her and to tell everyone. They prayed for my grandma when we was together and she was still alive. i wanted to thank them for that. She said she’s one call away if i ever need something and she’s been thinking about me & loves me.
i just wanna know if that includes in no contact & if i should reset my date. (there was no boundaries on what was and wasn’t no contact for us)

when my grandpa passed i reached out to my ex too because grief strips everything down and you just want comfort from people who mattered to you. i personally wouldn’t count this against yourself. this wasn’t about chasing or breaking no contact, you were grieving
I think that's fine. I still talk to my exes mum occasionally because we were close. I guess it would count as breaking no contact if you are using her mum to get a message to her, which your situation definitely doesn't sound that way.
