i lived with my ex for three years when he hit me with the exact same "i love you as a friend" line, and spending months hoping he'd wake up and change his mind while still living in that empty space broke me into pieces.
it just sucks because it was a good relationship other then the last two months. i felt something was off and tried asking him about it tons but he would jusy reasure me he was just tired. I have no reason to be angry with him so its just a constant sadness in my heart asking why i wasn’t enough.
there's no thing as such,he's just keeping you on a leash for his selfish reasons,it's either he chooses you or leaves you,if he can't do any of those, then he's a loser, also you deserve better i know it's harder when you heart doesn't agree, but you have to choose yourself again and again nd don't entertain him or anything you just do you.
blocking his number completely, because getting that weekly text feels like someone reaching into your chest and opening the wound all over again.
he still reaching out just to check in on you, or are those weekly texts mostly about logistics and moving out
checking in texts
block him. you need space, to process. you dont need him to love you- even if you want it. focus on yourself right now before attempting a conversation. i believe in you, rely on yourself for love, not someone else.
