I asked my ex if he thinks there's a way we could get back together in the future and he didn't give an answer.
I also asked when we could talk normally again but he just told me to "take it easy" and to "give it time" which is completely understandable but I wanna talk to him again, I want him as a part of my life.
I told him I didn't wanna lose him and he said "Me neither and its gonna be okay" But I don't know WHEN we'll be able to chat normally again... But ik its a bit awkward when we play even if he said it wasnt.

i have the same situation now give it time.Before this relationship was the same situation and because i chased him he was even scared of me and he didnt want be back anymore.Now in my new relationship its like a test did i learn my lesson,you know i still regret of losing my ex 3years ago but it was my mistake of chasing.And now i forcing myself to not lose my love again as i did 3 years ago

i get why you're looking for a timeline, but honestly what helped me was stopping myself from chasing one. when someone keeps saying "give it time," i tried to take that at face value instead of reading between the lines.

Exactly it gives me hope because he NEVER said anything about it being over forever. Even of right now he acts distant because its very recent I don't wanna give up on us
give it sometime if you push him right now he might not want to talk.
