When we broke up, he said he loved me, and we kissed a few times, and I cried in his arms. He said he wasn't sad, but he wasn't happy either, and he was grateful for every moment. It came down to who loved more. We promised each other we'd keep in touch, but today I texted him that we couldn't write every day and that I'd write when things got a little better. I still hope it will come back stronger. I prayed twice today, and I usually don't. My hope for a return sustains me, so I'm not completely devastated.

when you say you think it'll come back stronger, do you feel that's based on something the two of you talked about, or is it the hope that's helping you get through today?
hope that only helps..
i had to stop texting every day too because every message kept reopening the wound. giving it some space was the only thing that let me hear my own thoughts again.
leaving things with a hug and "i love you" too, and somehow that made it even harder to let go because part of me kept waiting for the story to continue.
I totally understand how you feel as there a hope for return for me too.
That is strong of you. It is great that you parted ways obvious good terms.
