Why taking this scary step feels so heavy ?

I need to send an email to the property manager letting her know that he has moved out, but I'm honestly so nervous πŸ˜”πŸ˜’

Even after moving out, he's still been helping me a little, and I think part of me has been holding on to that. I don't know what the future holds for us, and as much as I still love and care about him, I know I can't keep everything as it was when things have changed.

I think it's time for me to take this step, update the tenancy, and try to manage the expenses on my own. As expensive and scary as that feels, I don't think it's fair to keep him financially tied to a home he no longer lives in. I'd rather sort things out now than wait until he asks to be removed or tells me he can no longer help.

But gosh, it's hard πŸ’” Part of me is scared that making these changes makes everything feel more final, even though I know I can't predict what the future holds.

Am I doing the right thing? Has anyone else had to make these kinds of practical decisions while still loving and hoping for a future with someone? How did you find the courage to take that next step?

I'm trying to remind myself that letting go doesn't mean I have to stop loving him overnight. Maybe it just means learning to accept what is, take responsibility for my own life, and trust that whatever is meant for me will unfold in time.

hitting send on that lease update email felt like signing the official end of us, even though he was already gone. i sat there staring at my laptop screen crying for an hour with my finger hovering over the mouse, terrified that updating the paperwork meant i was giving up on any chance of fixing things.

get through those terrifying admin tasks was treating it like a physical bandage i just had to rip off in one fast motion, so i didn't give myself time to spiral. you are showing so much strength by cutting that financial tie yourself instead of waiting for it to blow up, and that takes a massive amount of courage.

you end up sending that email off to the property manager, or is it still sitting in your drafts waiting for you
