we decided to move to Europe together so we could finally live safely as a gay couple. we trusted a fast visa agent and it turned out to be fake documents for the EU. we traveled separately i had to leave one day after him but at the airport there was an issue with my papers and i got arrested. i ended up spending four months in prison in Armenia
while i was inside everything collapsed. i lost my job my visa got canceled and now i’m stuck in Yerevan with no clear way forward or way back home
he made it to the EU and in the time i’ve been dealing with prison and losing everything he has moved on. it’s only been a few months and he’s already seeing other guys. i still have access to his socials and it’s hard to watch how different his life looks now
he seems free meeting people living his life like i’m not part of it anymore
i feel betrayed and left behind. i gave up everything for this future and now i’m rebuilding from nothing alone
and i can’t understand what i’m seeing either people messaging him for sex and him responding. i don’t know if that’s normal there or if it’s just the circles he’s in or something else entirely

I'm sorry, that sounds awful. And your boyfriend sounds like an asshole. Maybe he is just drunken with the freedom he never had before, but abandoning you doesn't speak for his character. In the end, just because he can doesn't mean he should.
