I don't know if he ever truly saw me as his person but we were part of each other's lives for eight years.
In December 2025 we stopped talking because his engagement was supposed to be finalized the following month. I told him that if there was another woman in his life I couldn't continue being part of it. After that conversation I cut off all contact with him.
The problem is I never found out what actually happened. I don't know if the engagement went through if he's married now or if things changed. I've had no contact with him since then.
Lately I've been missing him a lot. Part of me wonders if I should reach out but I don't even know whether he's in a relationship or not. If he's still single I think I would want to talk to him again.
I'm feeling stuck between respecting the boundary I set and wanting answers. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do?

You would think if he was interested he would’ve reached out if there was no engagement, but same time there’s no harm in asking
Save what dignity you still have left and move on. If he wanted you he would have told you. Don’t be the reject.
Let him go. Move on. Nobody is worth you still thinking about it.
