My ex sent me a closure letter (email) after I broke no contact and saw him at his job. he brought up getting back together but he said he was scared. Anyways, instead of meeting up he sent the letter instead. It said some things that I feel are mischaraterizing me and also misunderstandings due to lack of communication. He also said beautiful things like our connection felt heaven sent etc. He said he hopes and believes I'll find someone special and he said he doesn't know if he'll find someone better than me but he hopes to find someone one day. Should I send a reply? It bothers me to be misunderstood and I could also share some sweet sentiments.

i’ve had an ex say beautiful things and painful things in the same message, and i got stuck wanting to correct every part because being misunderstood HURT so much. 💔
so you sent a reply?
i’ve been through the urge to reply just to make them see my side. what helped me was asking myself if i wanted to reply for peace, or because i was hoping the right words would bring them back.
that's a good question to ask
I had experienced the same thing and yes I understand you,the urge is always there to just go and clarify things before you leave
so did you clarify?
@MangoRabbit you know it happened many times and each time I went to clarify, we talked and we got back again, it never ended up in leaving him
Let it go, it will be okay
if you sent the reply and he still didn’t change his mind, would you feel relieved you said your piece or hurt all over again?
