Should i be friends with my ex now that she's dating someone else?

i had to be honest with myself that staying friends was hurting more than helping. i stopped asking if i could handle being around her and started asking if it was actually good for me.

i remember wondering if my ex missed me or just missed having me around. did she reach out because she genuinely wants a friendship, or because she wants to keep a connection with you?

I don't think it is / will be genuine. Unless you feel otherwise but sometimes it playing a dangerous game and delaying your healing process. She has moved on , move on also and I don't know how your current partners will feel knowing that you are friends with your ex anyway ...

my ex reaching out after finding someone new and acting like friendship was easy, while i was still trying to put myself back together. it felt like i was expected to be okay before i actually was.

Exactly it's not up to them all of a sudden, everyone need their own time to heal which may take longer so conversations like these should be approached with caution not expectation
