I recently found out that he may have cheated on me and now he’s with someone new while I’m still trying to heal from everything that happened. I feel so broken because of the way he treated me. He manipulated me damaged my self-esteem and made me question if I ever truly mattered to him.
What hurts the most is seeing people like this move on have fun and keep repeating the same patterns while the people they hurt are left trying to pick up the pieces. Maybe they have their own emptiness inside but I’m tired of always being the one who gets hurt.
I loved this man so much. And the hardest part is knowing that no one will ever fully understand how much pain I went through because of him. There may never be an apology regret or any kind of justice. I feel like I’m the only one carrying all of this.
I know I have to look at myself too. I’ve spent so much of my life making relationships my entire identity. It feels like I only feel valuable when I have a boyfriend beside me. I’ve spent years changing myself trying to become the person I thought someone would want.
Even small things make me afraid. Like wanting to post what I really think say what I feel or just be myself online. I worry that someone I love in the future will see it and decide I’m not “wife material” or that I’m too much. I’m scared that if I fully show who I am nobody will choose me.
A part of me wants to do things just so he regrets losing me. I want him to see that I’m better without him. But then I worry he’ll see me being angry and think leaving me was the right choice. I feel stuck between wanting to be myself and wanting him to still see me as the person he loved.
And I hate that I’m still thinking about him this much. I know I should be focusing on myself but my mind keeps going back to him. I keep wanting his attention wanting him to notice me wanting him to realize what he lost.
I feel so lost. I don’t know who I am outside of this relationship and I don’t know how to start finding myself again.

i chased that feeling for months, and it kept me tied to him.
i've been with someone who made me question my own worth too, and watching him move on so easily made me feel like i was the one who was broken.
i'm stuck on the part where you said you don't know who you are outside of this relationship. was there anything you loved doing before him that slowly disappeared while you were together
you are strong girl and you will be ok the first thing you need to do is what you already know you need to be yourself stop trying to be the person you think everyone wants you to be that's part of the reason you hurt some much I know I'm just kinda repeating what you already said and know but speaking from experience, the Frist thing for you right now is your free to find yourself and to be yourself for the Frist time in a long time maybe ever do something you want to do go for a walk while eating icecream and scream at the top of your lungs, your free 💜
