every argument we approached with a “we’ve got this attitude” and the last one was the same. he would stay at my house 5 days a week but refused to move in as he “wasn’t ready”. that’s ambiguity created so much anxiety in me. he came over on the 31/07 asking how to resolve this, told me he was uncertain that he saw a future with me, demanded I become more patient and self discipled and when I said I can try but I’m not naturally patient he continued. it escalated and I said “if you want a patient girl go on hinge and find it!” (I know I shouldn’t have said it). he got up, took my house keys off his keyring and said fine.
then it was over.
shaking and crying, he said “it doesn’t feel right to be with you if I’m uncertain, we shouldn’t continue” and walked out.
I reached out out 1.5 days later, and said I was ready to talk when he was. he told me
it was final and we havent spoken since.
I am so stuck on the hope he will come around eventually, be ready to talk it out. but he is stubborn, and very logical so I don’t think he will. just want to detachment to kick in and one day wake up and not think about him!!!

that kind of ending messes with your head because there was no real chance to work through it together.
when he said he wasn't ready to move in, did you feel like you were carrying that anxiety alone for a while, or did he ever really reassure you in a way that lasted?
always alone and for ages, the inconsistency caused so much doubt and anxiety he never reassured me that he was moving in that direction either….
i've been in that place where one argument somehow erased every "we've got this" we'd built before. i kept blaming myself for the one thing i said in the heat of it, but if someone was already uncertain, i don't think that one sentence was the whole reason.
absolutely agree - I think he was tossing it up for a while … I just wish he was open and honest about it sooner
