it's been five and a half months since our breakup and we've been back in no contact for the last 25 days.
the hardest part is that my heart is still with her. i still love her deeply. i don't want to move on but i also don't want to spend months or years holding onto hope if she's never coming back.
the uncertainty is what hurts the most. some days i truly believe we might find our way back to each other. other days i feel foolish for believing that could ever happen.
i feel completely stuck. it's affecting my mind my body and every part of my day. i just want this constant pain to stop.
has anyone else been through this? how did you cope with the uncertainty?

the uncertainty was the hardest part for me too.
When you can't seem to make sense of their words or, in your case being NC, when there are no words. you have to look at their actions. what are her actions showing you?
did the two of you leave things open for a possible future together, or are you holding onto that hope because your heart still feels connected to her?
i spent months stuck between missing my ex and waiting for a sign she’d come back. that hope was comforting some days and completely draining on others.
I know what you mean about the uncertainty. You’re afraid to hear the words it’s over, can’t stop checking the phone etc. obsessive thoughts. You might not believe it but it’s actually easier having the certainty that it’s over. You’re grieving of course but no longer on edge all the time wondering.
I’m going through the same rn, we broke up 2 months ago but only been no contact for 2 weeks or so. It hurts so much to never know if she’ll come back again or if she’ll stay with her new bf. I know it’ll get better, but it won’t be with her and that hurts.
