It's only been three days, I've been crying a lot and I think I've hit a point of acceptance. But I'm also not sure? I've been watching A LOT of videos on detachment, moving on and accepting my reality. I've been journaling, reading the bible, and going out to the backyard. But I'm scared that I'm subconsciously avoiding all the emotions and feelings I should be expressing right now. Am i just in a calm part of this emotional wave? Any advice and opinions?

being three days out and feeling weirdly calm after crying nonstop. then i'd have a random breakdown hours later. it came in waves for me too, i wasn't doing anything wrong. 🤍
i was scared journaling and watching healing videos meant i was avoiding the pain, but honestly they helped me get through those first days.
you think you're actually feeling calmer, or are you keeping yourself busy because being still feels too painful right now?
I think it's a bit of both. I can be still for short periods of time but then all the thoughts and feelings come and I try to let them be. About 1-5 mins throughout the day. Then I tell myself it's okay, he was close this is going to happen. I try to also tell myself it's okay because I have other ppl (my family) that love me. I think you might be right about me keeping myself busy though. Do you have any advice on how to sit with no distractions and feel the emotions easier?
