It’s been 276 days since I was ghosted by the woman I spent seven years with. I loved her more than anything and after she left it felt like my entire life fell apart.
I spent so long trying to get some kind of closure but she never gave me the truth. Instead there was constant breadcrumbing and gaslighting that kept making me believe I’d eventually get the answers I needed. I never did.
I blocked her number. I stopped checking her socials. I’ve done everything I could to create distance but nothing seems to help. I still wake up every morning and she’s the first thing on my mind.
I genuinely felt soul-tied to her. She was my better half and now I’m left trying to understand how someone I loved that deeply could discard me like none of it ever mattered.
And honestly I feel pathetic for still being unable to hate her.
I spent my 32nd birthday alone in our old room unable to do anything because of how badly the aftermath of the breakup had affected me.
What makes it even harder is that she left after I had already lost several friends and family members. I was already struggling with so much grief and everything that happened afterward left me feeling completely overwhelmed and broken.
No matter what I do my thoughts and feelings somehow find their way back to her.
How are you supposed to move forward when the person you thought would always be there for you was the one who left you when you were already barely holding on?

I'm so sorry you going though that.....you will be okay someday even if it doesn't feel like it right now i promise you it will be okay....keep holding on ....I never thought I was ever going to be okay too bt I am and i promise you it will be OK
how are you doing with the grief outside of her, especially after losing friends and family too?
I am also healing from a brutal discard from someone I was with for a decade. it’s a new type of pain and bewilderment I haven’t felt before. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I have to believe it will get better for both of us, and I’m sending you strength
Nothing, absolutely nothing is wrong with you. This happens when you really love someone and all that you're left with is the pain of the betrayal, the weight of the lies, the longing for all the what ifs. It's incredibly hard for our brain to understand that the version of that person we had in mind is not the same one that broke our heart. I'm not even myself anymore after the breakup.
you're hurting really, really bad, I am sure. How you make it through and how you start learning to change the quality of your thoughts and direct them towards you again is immensely challenging and difficult. I am in the process myself; I feel for you, I want to sit in the corner with you and let out my pain alongside you kind human.
hope ur okay🤍
