he questioned his feelings for me throughout the entire relationship telling me he settled forced himself to like me and loved his ex more than he ever loved me. then out of nowhere he shut down left told me i did nothing wrong and that i was amazing but he just didn’t love me enough. he blocked me everywhere and less than two months later he’s already with someone else.
in a strange way i’m glad the uncertainty is finally over. i spent so much time wondering if he was avoidant if his attachment issues made it hard for him to love or if he just couldn’t feel deeply for anyone. now i feel like i have my answer. maybe he simply never loved me the way i loved him.
i’m trying to distract myself focus on my own life and keep moving forward but it’s so hard when you keep getting hurt by people you loved and trusted. i didn’t deserve to be left feeling this unwanted after giving someone my best. it really really sucks.

He settled, forced himself to like you, and favored his ex? What kicks in the teeth. The cruelty of this man’s words are astounding. When someone lacks self-awareness to this degree, they struggle to succeed in relationships.
I am also getting over avoidant discard and it’s so painful, because as well as the heartbreak there is also the betrayal of the blindside. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this but your insights are right, and I’m glad you can find relief now the uncertainty is over - I know that feeling well! keep going
