I had a complicated on-and-off relationship with roven after leaving a controlling five-year relationship. I carried a lot of unresolved trauma into ours and instead of appreciating the calm healthy love he gave me I spent so much of the relationship questioning whether I was truly happy and looking for things that were wrong.
After therapy I genuinely felt like I had changed and we got back together for the third time. Things really were better but eventually he lost faith in us and ended the relationship.
Two weeks later I found out he was already back on social media and honestly that made the breakup feel so much worse. Now I'm grieving him while questioning whether I struggle with intimacy and commitment and I'm also realizing how much of my own life I had been putting on hold waiting for him to lead the way.

loving someone good while my own fear kept making me question everything. when we finally ended, i had to grieve him and the version of myself that kept waiting for him to show me where my life was going
same spiral, wondering if every doubt meant i was incapable of commitment
i really feel the part about putting your life on hold. do you think you miss roven himself most right now, or the future you imagined finally having with him?
Maybe you do. You're still loveable. I think you should take it for what it is. Practice. Just curious, how much therapy have you done?
