i had to stop thinking of it as “no contact” and make it “no unnecessary contact.”
keep the contact to bare minimum. perhaps instead of visiting he can take the children and drop them off ? be warm and don't play games but also dont appear needy and broken. it's hard but I'm sure we will get there
. having kids makes no contact so much messier because you still have to see the person you’re trying to heal from, and every visit can reopen everything.
how do you protect your heart when he still has a reason to come around? do his visits usually leave you feeling hopeful, hurt, or confused?
