short story my ex ghosted me and split up with me on may 20th not heard from since until a few days ago. He wanted to talk to things and talk about the relationship, for me I was done with everything I have started seeing someone else, we had the conversation and I realised he was still
stuck on our problems from Feb, he still thinks of me as the same person i was but I had to remind him I am not where he left me, I spent my time getting over things that hurt the situation and being breadcrumbed between Feb and April. I felt overwhelmed and stressed by him because I moved on. I said he needs to move forward with things, work things out himself i cannot be the person he processes things with.
he now wants to talk today. months ago me then would be very emotional but now I’m in a completely different place.

this hit me because you sound so different from the person he left in february. do you actually want to talk to him today, or do you feel like you're agreeing because some part of you still feels responsible for how he's feeling?
i think you did the right thing by telling him you can't be the person he processes everything with
first conversation after months of silence can feel SO weird when you've already done the grieving. i remember my ex coming back wanting answers after i'd already fought so hard to get myself out of that hole, and realizing i didn't actually want to reopen it.
