Me and my ex broke up in February 5th (I mean I broke up because I got enough)
I moved out, living in different place, and after all that time I started to get in touch with people I left for my ex. Now I'm seeing how many red flags he had, but I was so blind. My therapist diagnosed me with BPD and CPTSD, I also have trauma after all that manipulation and gaslighting I went through, but I'm healing, getting better bit by bit. I'm still crying sometimes, missing him, but I know that he's not a good person. Also his actions backfired on him. He lives with his new fiance he cheated on me with, but he lost a job, they have bed bugs at their apartment, and everyone left them, even my ex's family doesn't want to know him, when people ask, I'm telling them true story, I'm not hiding that I wasn't perfect too, but they still decide to cut him off, and I'm not really surprised. I might be mean but it gives me some satisfaction to know that that both have problems and I'm the one getting better and moving on. I'm happy that I made that choice to break up in the end, I'm finally feeling like I'm actually alive

that part about feeling alive really got me. do you think you're grieving him still, or more grieving the person you thought he was before everything came out?
that weird mix of still missing someone while finally seeing how badly they treated you. i remember feeling guilty for being relieved when my life started getting better after leaving, but damn, you don't have to feel guilty for enjoying being FREE again.
I'm also diagnosed with BPD and C-PTSD. I just want you to know that you are worthy of love and care. ❤️❤️
