I stood by my ex through her divorce helped her start a company supported her through her anxiety and jealousy and fixed things around her home. I bought PS4s for her kids lent her money cooked and bought meals and drove her two hours to pain clinic appointments in the big city.
I did everything she asked of me. I even deleted my female Facebook friends and stopped going to the beach because women in bikinis made her uncomfortable.
I gave so much of myself that I ended up getting fired twice because of the stress. Eventually I became moody and overwhelmed and she left me.
I keep asking myself why. How can someone you supported cared for and loved so deeply just walk away? I feel completely crushed and heartbroken. I gave her everything I had and now I don't know how to get over losing her.

People are cruel to each other. I am sorry this happened to us.
You reminded me of a friend who had a similar situation. Do you have an anxious attachment style? Do you make demands of her saying, “I don’t want you going out with friends because if you asked me I would do it for you.” Or constantly wanting to know who she is texting?
Similar situation here, except I never got to meet his children - only to hear about them. Hard to say which is worse. I am similarly crushed, and - I am a woman. He wasted my time and now I have almost no chance of having a family.
