I really thought today might be the day he reconsidered. It was his first day off work since breaking up with me, and I kept hoping he'd have time to reflect, miss me, and want to reconnect or reconcile... but no. š

are you more hurt that he didn't reach out today, or that the hope made you believe he might?
i know that hope way too well. i used to attach so much meaning to my ex's days off, birthdays, weekends, anything that gave me a reason to think he'd suddenly miss me.
