i genuinely can’t do this. we were talking about meeting up later to talk about things, and i said i’d let him know. i texted him to let him know that i do want to talk after my class. we still have our locations shared with each other and i looked and he’s at an apartment he’s never been to before. i’m scared he’s doing something with someone because i know none of his friends live there. he hasn’t been active on anything in almost an hour and he’s almost always on tiktok or instagram. i know it’s technically none of my business, but when we talked yesterday he said that he still sees a future with me and he still wants me, he just wants to focus on his responsibilities alone right now. i just don’t know what to do im so scared. my mind always jumps to the worst. what do i do?

i know how badly you want to check, call, or ask him what he’s doing, but i’d leave the location alone for now. i had to learn that checking gave me five minutes of relief and then ten new things to panic about.
i feel this because i’d be scared too, especially after hearing him say he still sees a future with you. when you meet him later, do you think you’ll be able to talk about what you actually need from each other without bringing up where he was today?
staring at a location pin and convincing myself i knew exactly what was happening. my brain filled in every horrible detail before i had any actual answer, and i barely slept because of it.
I went through something very similar. One day, while I was waiting for him to text me, I checked his location and saw that he was at a hotel. It made me incredibly anxious and I immediately started imagining the worst. I felt terrible. I ended up calling one of his friends who knew where he was and asking if he was with him. That’s how I found out the location app had shown the wrong place.
Maybe his location was accurate or maybe it wasn’t—that part doesn't really matter. What matters is that you're still checking his location, and I completely understand why. I used to do the same thing.
After that day, I deleted the location app. And when I stopped checking, I slowly realized how much better I was feeling. Honestly, I'm doing so much better now. Checking their location might give you a few minutes of relief when you're wondering where they are, but it can also make your anxiety so much worse.
In a way, constantly checking where they are can make you feel like a relationship that has ended or changed is still continuing. I know it's hard, and I'm not judging you at all because I've been there. But I haven't seen his location for over a month now, and not having access to it has genuinely helped me heal.
So please, consider turning off location sharing or deleting the app. It will be difficult at first, but I promise you might thank yourself later. 🤍
yes
when you start ignoring him or not texting/calling him anymore, he'll start chasing you. you need to be consistent for at least 30 days for it to really work tho
i’m scared that’s not going to happen. either i’m going to be too weak and text him, or im scared he’s going to move on.
I know exactly what you're going thru. if you let him see how anxious you are or how scared you are of losing him, he wont change. when you start making it seem like your fine without him, he'll be the one who starts being clingy with you. trust me. try this for a month, and you'll see how things change.
i already texted him and told him i want to talk today. should i still go? he still hasn’t answered. i can delete it?
