When I think about you my chest doesn't hurt anymore, I don't want to cry anymore, I just feel a little nostalgic, I admit that sometimes I try to make it hurt again, because I cling to miss you, because if I don't miss you it's because I don't love you anymore and I swore to love you forever, sorry for breaking my promise.

trying to bring the sadness back too, because i was scared that healing meant i was forgetting him. eventually i let the good memories stay soft instead of turning them into a reason to hurt myself again.
you think you’re really afraid of falling out of love with them, or afraid that letting go means the love you had wasn’t real?
the first time i realized missing my ex didn’t hurt anymore. i used to think the pain was proof that i still loved ther, so letting myself feel okay felt almost like betraying what we had.
it genuinely hurts to not see them as the same as you once met them.
I'm gonna say this to you gently. You are not a hopeless romantic, you are codependent. You're part of a constant dopamine loop. And until you break that cycle, you'll never find healthy, steady, reciprocal love. Unless you're both in a wartime zone/situation, noone should be killing themselves for someone else for love. Unless you are into being a drug for somebody else, and your other half is into that too okay. But it sounds to me like your partner is wanting more. Anyways, I'm not judging either, I was in a similiar situation; trauma bond
