Why did i let her go? my heartbreak after 6 years

Author

After a nearly 6-year relationship where we shared everything I broke things off due to severe family issues. Even though I still loved her I pushed her away to let her find a better future. She was deeply heartbroken for 2 to 3 months before slowly moving on and eventually starting a relationship with someone new.
Seeing her move on made me realize my mistake but my tearful apologies and pleas to reconcile came too late. She informed me that she has moved on and is genuinely happier now with her new partner who offers the consistency time and clarity I lacked. While she blocked me on Instagram and removed our photos she hasn't blocked me everywhere. However I have decided to respect her current relationship and not interfere.
Does her new relationship sound like a rebound given that it started 2–3 months after a 6-year relationship ended?
Can someone genuinely fall in love and be deeply invested in a new partner that quickly after a long-term breakup?
Is it possible for her to still harbor unresolved feelings for me while loving her new partner?
What concrete steps can I take now to rebuild myself and stop obsessing over her potential return?

He clearly wrote that he was the one who ended it. So I’m glad she is happier with someone else now

well i am not her so i cant sense her feelings but i think she moved on and yes she can fall in love someone whom she met two three months if he cares and values her more than you do and i dont think so that she is rebound but there is a little chance since she didnt block you but maybe she is being nice and you should consult to your friends about this situation your "toxic" friends if you have them. cuz they will speak harsh and make you distant

This is such a painful situation, but I think the most important thing is respecting her decision and focusing on your own healing. Sometimes love is real, but timing, circumstances, and consistency matter too. You can't control whether she will ever come back, but you can control how you grow from this experience. I hope you both find the happiness and peace you deserve. 🤍

Sorry to say this.
The next guy was most likely in the picture before she broke up with you.
They were probably talking and even went out before. They couldn't make it official until she broke up with you.
