ex sent a long message asking logistics about an upcoming concert we were supposed to go to before the breakup (dumped me), and about whether i want my stuff back.
i have not responded to her in 4 days. not sure if i should ever respond. i’m scared she’s gonna think i blocked her, and that im closing a door. though logically, i know that door SHOULD be closed because of how she treated me in the end
but don’t wanna cave either! (and want money and stuff back lol)

i get why you’re scared she’ll think you blocked her, but do you actually want to leave that door open, or do you just want her to know you’re choosing not to walk through it again?
i’d reply only about the concert, money, and your stuff if you need to, and keep it completely practical.
i’ve been in that exact limbo where you know the door probably needs to stay closed, but part of you still wants them to wonder if there’s a chance. i remember staring at a message for days because replying felt like giving up a little piece of the progress i’d made.
