I’ve been in love with one of my close friends for a while. About a year ago she explicitly told me that she only sees me as a friend and her behavior toward me today remains strictly platonic.
Despite this my feelings haven't faded and part of me keeps holding out hope that her perspective might shift over time. I’m torn on what to do next. Should I express my feelings to her again even though she’s already given me a clear answer? Or is it time to accept her feelings as final and focus on moving on?
I’d love to hear from anyone who has navigated a similar situation. How did you know when it was finally time to stop waiting and let go?

Why did she tell you 1 year ago that she only saw you as a friend? Did you tell her your feelings for her back then?
She only sees me as a friend" well that's all the answer you need. She's not interested. Romantic feelings rarely, if ever, change
I don’t think you should keep waiting around hoping her feelings will eventually change. She already told you how she feels, so I would take her at her word rather than trying to interpret her actions for signs that she secretly wants more.
