Thirteen days ago I had to move out of the dream home where my ex-wife and I raised our children and built a life together for four years. The transition has re-traumatized me and reignited intense emotional pain.
Following our separation I lived in the marital home rent-free for eight months while it was in forbearance working tirelessly on repairs and prep for the sale while privately hoping for a reconciliation. After the house sold I delayed closing as long as possible just to cling to the memories and the peaceful neighborhood life I loved.
Now I am camping out in a National Park feeling utterly shattered. I haven't spoken to her in over eight months yet small finalities—like her leaving our joint Amazon account—continue to pull me back into grief just as I start to find brief moments of distraction

Dude, she is definitely with another dude, probably has been even before the split. You have to stop fantasizing about the woulda coulda shoulda bs and get your own damn place then live your life.
You are not alone. That heartbreak is just so unbearable at times. I’m feeling my heart right now and it sux! Just know there’s a lot of us out here too!
Hey friend. I’m so, so sorry to see this. I know that hurts. ❤️💔
how have been able not to speak a word to her in 8 1/2 months with two small children?
