Often, when our ex chooses someone else or cheats on us, we immediately start comparing ourselves to the other person.
I experienced that too. When he chose her, I wondered: Is she prettier than me? Does she have a better body? Is she more interesting? What does she have that I don’t?
But someone choosing another person is not a measurement of our worth.
Love is not a competition where the prettiest, smartest, or most successful person wins. Someone’s preference, choices, or inability to value us does not determine whether we are enough.
So instead of asking, “Why wasn’t I chosen?” I’m learning to ask, “How can I choose myself now?”
I can take all the energy I spent comparing, analyzing, and trying to understand them and pour it back into myself.
Glow up, but not to make them regret losing you. Glow up because you deserve to meet the healthiest, happiest, most confident version of yourself.
Take care of your body. Build your dreams. Wear the clothes that make you feel beautiful. Learn something new. Surround yourself with people who love you gently. Heal the parts of yourself that believed being rejected meant being less worthy.
Rejection wounds can make us believe that not being chosen means we are not good enough. Healing begins when we understand that someone else’s choice does not define our beauty, value, or worth. You can be rejected and still be deeply worthy of love.
The goal isn’t to become better than the person they chose.
The goal is to stop believing you ever needed to compete with them in the first place.
They chose someone else. Now, I choose me.

i started dressing for myself, seeing friends, chasing little goals again, and slowly i stopped needing their choice to tell me how i should feel about myself.
that’s really an amazing progress. Actually a very big progress ^^ learning how to separate our emotions from others behavior is a really good way towards healing and emotional maturity ^^
why her and not me, but what would choosing yourself actually look like for you right now
stop thinking about him and the woman. I focus more on myself, my goal, recovery such as meditation, journaling, and exercising. Recently, I enjoy myself making healthy drink everyday ^^
i remember doing this exact thing after my ex chose someone else, comparing her face, her body, everything, like i could find the one thing she had that made me lose. damn, that comparison ate me alive for a while.
that feeling is really make me sad. I feel my chest burning and pit in my stomach. I realized I really have to change since then
This is such an important reminder. I’m learning that being rejected doesn’t make me less worthy, and I don’t need to become “better” than anyone else to deserve love. I just need to choose myself again.
I am learning how to heal rejection wounds to be more resilient ^^ that’s true, it has nothing to do with our worth even though it is hard ro accept
This happened to me too, now i know im enough, just the person i was with had a problem, that he has to solve, and u shouldnt put myself down for that!
yes dear, sometimes one person love is not enough ^^ sending hugs for your recovery
