On Sunday I saw him, we met in the same place without agreement, we only saw each other, my friends told me that he said he wanted to talk to me, I denied it and today a friend made a joke about following him on ig, I didn't realize until he followed me back, I don't even know what to think

i’d try not to give the follow too much meaning yet. i’ve been burned by reading hope into tiny signs, and sometimes a follow is just a follow until someone actually says what they want.
you saw him on sunday, did you feel like you wanted him to come talk to you, or were you more scared of what that conversation might bring back?
i’ve had those random run-ins with an ex where one look was enough to mess with my head for the rest of the day. then a follow back happens and suddenly i’m questioning every little thing all over again.
