We aren't together and despite what our friends say I don't think she has feelings for me. She is amazing and loving her from afar hurts deeply.
I'm struggling with intense loneliness and low self-esteem wishing I were someone else. It feels almost impossible to imagine someone truly accepting and loving me for who I am. I thought I had come to terms with the idea that romance isn't meant for me but meeting her triggered the same familiar pattern: we become close friends I fall deeply in love and eventually I realize it's one-sided.
I'm trying to accept that love might not be in my future but I just want this heartache to stop.

does she know how badly you're hurting right now, or are you hiding all of this behind being the supportive friend?
The message you are waiting for might not come the way you expect
i felt every single word of this in my gut. spent years stuck in that exact same loop of falling for my best friends, watching them pick anyone else, and just hating myself for not being enough to be chosen. it makes you feel like an absolute alien, but that feeling of being unlovable is lying to you so hard right now.
