I poured everything into helping my ex grow and get sober forgiving all her past behavior and guiding her through her darkest times only for her to walk away and quickly replace me. I don't even know if her new partner was around before we ended things. Even though I was her longest relationship and we lived together she easily plugged a new man into my place—and because he makes more money she seems happier and determined to make it last.
I hate admitting it but I still miss her and want her back even knowing it's impossible now. What hurts most is the sheer imbalance of what we lost. I lost our home our dogs my daily routines and my entire life. She just lost me—and simply swapped me out without missing a beat.

about losing your house, your dogs, and your whole routine while she just plugged in a new guy hit me right in the chest. i nursed my ex through his rock bottom for two years only for him to leave the second he got his life together and move straight in with someone else, and that specific type of betrayal makes you feel completely erased. you gave her everything, and it is so deeply unfair that you were left holding all the wreckage while she just moved on.
