Today I found out my ex cheated on me and confessed he is still in love with his ex. I managed to hold myself together at my elementary school job until recess when the grief completely overwhelmed me and I found myself thinking about how deeply unlovable I felt.
In that exact moment a little boy ran over gave me a hug told me he loved me and ran off to play. He had no clue what I was going through but that tiny unexpected moment of genuine love arrived right when I needed it most.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing that heartbreak! It’s hard wrapping your brain around how they can switch up so fast. I’m glad you got a sign that you’re not unlovable! It’s not your responsibility to heal his past trauma any real man wouldn’t get into a serious committed relationship when he’s in love with someone else.
