After almost nine months with my boyfriend a gut feeling led me to check his phone for the first time. I found a deleted thread containing explicit photos from a woman he almost dated in the past. While he ignored the second batch of photos he flirted back and asked to see more during the first exchange before deleting the messages.
When confronted he claimed they never slept together and that it was just their normal banter. Having both experienced infidelity in past relationships I was devastated by his actions. that gut feeling followed by finding something you were never supposed to see is such a horrible kind of shock. even when they say nothing physical happened, the flirting and asking for more would’ve hurt me too
the hardest part here is knowing he deleted it and only admitted what happened after you found it, do you feel more hurt by the photos themselves or by the fact that he chose to engage with her behind your back?
