Why am i still so sad after my breakup?

My ex and I broke up 18 days ago. Before we broke up, he said things that I still overthink to this day. Every time we argued, he would become cold and ignore me, And it seemed like he didn't care what happened between us during bad times. That's how I felt, that he didn't care and that I was the one who, in bad moments, had to swallow my pride, and even beg him not to leave the conversation or ignore me just because he didn't want to argue. The day we broke up, we had another argument where he became very cold. And I ended up proving how wrong I was to always give in during bad times. The moment she started acting that way, I told her it seemed like she couldn't stand me anymore and that she didn't like me anymore, And if that's the case, then he can break up with me. He started threatening me, saying he wouldn't leave me, but if I continued like this, he would ignore me even more, stop talking to me, and treat me badly. He even started telling me that I can't live without him, that he knows I'll never leave him, that I'm too used to him, He said I haven't done anything to make him fall in love with me, but that he loves me even though I haven't done anything for him, in his opinion, and that if I'm so in love with him it's because he knew how to make me fall in love with him, etc. And no one had ever said anything like that to me before, and I always fought back, but after he said those things I had to leave him and block him because I don't even understand how someone who says he loves me can say that to me that things.
Since then I have lived in anxiety and sadness and have tried to distract myself, try to make friends, even try to talk to other men because I was desperate to stop feeling bad. But I keep thinking about him, and today I'm particularly sad.
¿Que puedo hacer para dejar de sentirme así?

the anxiety gets that loud and you just want to stop feeling bad, packing your schedule or talking to new guys usually backfires and makes you miss him more

18 days in and that awful heavy sadness is just crushing to carry around. i spent months swallowed up by my ex who would freeze me out, treat me like dirt during arguments, and then smugly tell me i'd never leave him because i was too hooked. you were so brave to block him after he said those terrible things to you, but God it hurts to sit with the shock of someone treating you that way.

It is going to take time. Continue leveling yourself up. You are allowed to feel sad and lonely. But remember to also focus on all the ways you weren't happy during the relationship. All the things you let slide. You no longer have to carry that weight.

sounds like a real narcissistic asshole. move on. you should never be ignored, always validated. Your pain matters. They are supposed to be there for you especially if things are difficult or they cause you pain. No more allowing someone to walk all over you. You owe no one anything more than what they give you
